This family-friendly experience will enchant audiences of all ages, from the youngest to longtime fans. Presented exclusively in Canada, "Tintin, The Immersive Adventure" will be presented at Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal starting October 4, 2024.

Upon arrival, visitors will be transported into Hergé's world through two thematic rooms carefully curated to showcase decors and legendary artifacts coming straight from the world-famous comic book author's work.

Following the success of "Tintin, The Immersive Adventure" in Paris, Brussels, Bordeaux, Les Baux-de-Provence and Lausanne, this unique creation arrives at Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal on October 4, 2024.

"Tintin, The Immersive Adventure"pays tribute to Hergé and his famous Belgian reporter, from the first 1929 edition of Tintin in the Land of the Soviets to the latest publications. The great traveller, whose adventures have been part of popular culture for nearly 100 years, will visit Montreal to the delight of the youngest to longtime fans.

For the occasion, the entire family from Hergé’s famous work will be present: Tintin, Snowy and the loyal entourage, including Captain Haddock, Thomson and Thompson, Professor Calculus, Bianca Castafiore and many others.

The immersive experience, a coproduction between Culturespaces Studio and Tintinimaginatio, and presented by VIBRANT Studios, will plunge you into the nostalgia of this fascinating universe. Tintin and his crew await you for an unforgettable experience starting October 4!

What is an immersive experience?

An immersive experience is an activity that transports participants in a captivating interactive environment, combining visual, auditory and sometimes tactile elements. The goal is to make the experience as engaging and realistic as possible, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the presented universe.

How much time should be planned to visit “Tintin, The Immersive Adventure”?

On average, visitors take about 75 minutes to enjoy the immersive adventure.

What is the recommended age?

"Tintin,the Immersive Adventure" is accessible to people of all ages. However, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times to ensure an enjoyable and safe visit.

Is it possible to reserve a seat?

No. The experience invites participants to move around and explore the space. Therefore, no seating can be reserved. However, benches are available throughout the journey.

Can I take photos or videos during the experience?

Yes, taking photos and videos for personal use is allowed. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, please do not use your flash. Tripods are not allowed and must be left at the coat check.

How does "Tintin, the Immersive Adventure" unfold?

Upon arrival, visitors will be invited to leave their personal belongings at the coat check (free of charge). They will then start their journey in the two thematic rooms before the immersive experience projections begin and will conclude their visit at the immersive adventure shop.

What are the two thematic rooms?

Upon arrival, visitors will be transported into Hergé’s world through two thematic rooms carefully curated to showcase decors and legendary artifacts coming straight from work of the world-famous comic book author. In this 15-minute introduction, participants will discover unique, magnificent treasures before diving into the immersive experience.

What does the immersive experience entail?

Thanks to custom 360° projections and an exhilarating soundtrack, the legendary reporter’s adventures take on larger-than-life dimensions. Get ready to explore iconic locations, meet vibrant characters and face off against diabolical villains! Spanning 8,500 square feet and equipped with 34 4K video projectors, the experience features over 2,000 images from the 24 Tintin albums. This part of the experience lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Is there a shop with merchandise?

At the end of the immersive experience, visitors will have the chance to extend their adventure at the immersive experience shop. A wide selection of items awaits them, so they can leave with memorable souvenirs or iconic gifts.

What is a timed ticket?

Each ticket is valid for a specific time slot corresponding to the start of the immersive experience projections. You select your time slot when booking your tickets (online or in-person).

At what time should I arrive?

It’s recommended to arrive 20 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket to visit the two thematic rooms before the start of the immersive experience projections.

Why is it necessary to respect the time slot selected?

To ensure an optimal experience for all visitors, we ask that you respect the time indicated on your ticket. If you arrive late due to unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to get you started as soon as possible. However, if you choose one of the last slots of the day and arrive after the scheduled time, you may not be able to fully enjoy the entire immersive adventure.

What is a Flex ticket?

Purchasing a Flex ticket allows you to participate in the immersive experience on a date of your choice, at any time during that day.

"Tintin, the Immersive Adventure" is presented at Arsenal Contemporary Art, located at 2020 William Street in Montreal.

Is it accessible by public transport?

Yes.

Metro: Orange Line, Georges-Vanier exit, or Green Line, Lionel-Groulx exit. 

Bus: Lines 35 and 36, with stops at Notre-Dame/Georges-Vanier or Notre-Dame/Des Seigneurs. 

Paid parking is also available.

Is it possible to come with a stroller?

Strollers are allowed. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to limit stroller access to the exhibition in certain cases (e.g., during high-traffic periods).

Is the experience easily accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Yes, the experience is fully accessible to individuals with reduced mobility.

Are animals allowed in the experience?

No, animals are not allowed in the experience, except for service dogs.

PERMITTED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS
What items are prohibited in the experience?
  • Large bags (backpacks, large tote bags, large handbags, sports bags, water bags and any bag larger than 21.5 cm x 28 cm).
  • Illegal substances (prescription medications in their original packaging are allowed, provided the participant presents ID matching the label on the prescription container).
  • Food, drinks or liquids in containers larger than 50 ml, or containers made of glass or metal.
  • Weapons, laser pointers and umbrellas.
  • Professional photography equipment or audio/video recording equipment (no removable lenses, tripods or drones).
  • Bicycles, skateboards, scooters or personal motorized vehicles.
  • Animals, except for assistance dogs.
Is it possible to eat inside the experience?

No, bringing outside food and drinks is not allowed. A food and beverage counter is available at the end of the immersive experience, after the shop.

Smoking and cannabis policy

Smoking in all forms, including e-cigarettes and vaporizers, and cannabis consumption, is prohibited inside the building or within three metres of all exterior doors.
